This Handpainted World Map Puzzle is colored in hues of yellow, green, brown to reflect their various land forms. Each continent’s land mass is a jigsaw piece that is cut accordingly to their actual shape. Each jigsaw piece can be fitted into the base plate. Each is painted accordingly to represent their uniqueness. The name of each continent is revealed once the jigsaw piece is lifted up. 

The continents are accurate in terms of relative size & positions. This painted set includes 7 pieces of the 7 continents: 

•  Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, Australia.
• a drawstring bag to keep everything securely

Ideas on how to use this puzzle: 

• Teach your child to match the pieces to their spaces on the wood board according to their shapes & sizes first, then teach them to names of the continents, get them to observe the colors & talk abt their properties with them. Talk abt the comparative sizes of the land masses. Hide the continent pieces in colored rice for them to seek & hunt for the pieces. Do storytelling, give them names & create narratives with Mr Asia, Mr Africa etc. So many possibilities!
